Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

What do you like most about working at Midtronics?

Working for Midtronics has allowed me to find a unique work-life balance. With that being said, I tend to work a lot – often some atypical days and hours to make sure the job gets done – but I can honestly say that I never missed an event for my daughters. Whether it be a school function, sports, sports, and more sports, or something else of importance to them, I was always there – and sometimes one of the only parents in attendance. Most business are fairly rigid, and I very much appreciate that Midtronics is flexible and really understands the importance of family.

What personal accomplishment at Midtronics are you most proud of?

I’d have to say the Building Renovation is one of the accomplishments I’m most proud of at Midtronics. As a teenager I worked in construction & carpentry with my cousin who owned his own business. So when Steve was looking for a champion for this project, I guess I had the best credentials, or nobody else raised their hand. It got a bit crazy at times with all the people shuffling around and all of the noise, but the finished product was amazing. Just one bit of advice……never drive a fork truck on to a paver patio!

Tell us about your family.

I met my wife in college and we married in 1988. We have two daughters, they both have my drive and their mom’s compassion. Both girls were very good student-athletes in high school. Now, one daughter completed her masters, one daughter completed her doctorate.

How do you like to spend your time when you are not at work?

Our daughters kept us pretty busy before they left for college. Now that the girls are away, I have a little more free time to enjoy some of the finer things in life. In the spring and summer, you’ll likely find me on the golf course or working in the yard. My wedding present from my wife was a set of golf clubs – I had never golfed before that. She said that if I was going to work in business I needed to know how to golf. Thirty years later I’m guessing she might be regretting that gift! In the fall and winter, you’ll likely find me doing something football related. When I’m not prepping for fantasy football, I’m watching the games. I’m a huge New England Patriots fan. It was the first football game I saw in person.  And yes, Tom Brady is the G.O.A.T!

What is your favorite childhood memory?

I played sports all my life – football, baseball, & basketball in order of preference. My fondest memory as a kid was in Babe Ruth baseball when I was 15 years old. We were in the semi-finals of the state tournament and I came to bat in the bottom of the 7th inning with men on base, and got the game winning hit. The next morning my picture was on the front page of our local newspaper with the caption “Happy Hero”, showing me crossing home plate with my hands raised and a big smile.

What is your favorite food?

Anything pasta related. My wife makes an amazing spaghetti sauce from her grandmother’s recipe. Cold pasta with homemade Italian dressing is one of my favorite after dinner snacks.
